Jan's first judging at CC level was Briards (her main breed) at the Scottish Kennel Club in 1986, she has judged Briard in the UK at total of 11 times. Her most memorable judging appointment was Crufts in 1999.
Jan has been the President of the Briard Association since 2007.
She has judged Briards in many countries abroad and club shows in Finland.
Jan also awards CC's to: All Belgian Shepherd Dogs, Hungarian Pulis, Powlish Lowland Sheepdogs, Lancashire Heelers, Gt Schnauzers, Schnauzers, Mini Schnauzers, Siberian Huskies, Gt Danes and Bouvier Des Flandres.

and Best in Show at SWKA in 2010
